The Sickest Burn of Super Bowl XLVIII
On February 2, 2014, I was sitting in a conference room with six of the funniest people I know, watching the Super Bowl and eating pizza. I was leading Ford's Super Bowl tweeting efforts. We had our writer's room, a couple of clients, a lawyer, some account folks, and couple of analysts monitoring the social conversation that was happening. We were working with #nearlydouble to support Ford's Super Bowl spot package, two spots that played up the different ways Ford vehicles had nearly double the greatness of other brands' offerings. It was halftime, and the entertainment was Bruno Mars with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The Seahawks were pounding the heck out of Denver. That's when someone on the team, I can't remember who, came up with this tweet. People went nuts. Okay, maybe it wasn't the sickest burn, but still.
